• Account information — name, email address, and password when you create a property-manager account.
• Application data — personal details, employment and income information, current and prior addresses, identification documents, and any other materials submitted through a rental application.
• Mobile phone number — provided during the application so the property manager can contact you, including by text message (SMS) where you have opted in.
• Communications — messages sent through the platform between property managers and applicants, including SMS messages.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, browser type, and device information collected automatically through cookies and analytics services.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the Sukasa platform.
• To process and deliver rental applications to property managers.
• To send transactional emails and SMS notifications related to your application, including status updates and requests for missing information.
• To authenticate users and maintain account security.
• To improve our services through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and consent to SMS communications, you agree to receive text messages from the property management company you are applying with, sent through the Sukasa platform, regarding your rental application. Message frequency varies based on application activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, or HELP for assistance. Consenting to text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service, but is required for application processing.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With property managers — application data is shared with the property management company you are applying to.
• Service providers — we use third-party services for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and telephony. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process.

Data storage and security

Application data and uploaded documents are stored using encrypted-at-rest storage with server-side encryption. We use HTTPS for all data in transit and signed session tokens for authentication. While we implement industry-standard safeguards, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain application information for as long as needed to process your application and to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us at the email below.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
